Resolve Disputes with Confidence and Clarity
Harding Property Law is pleased to offer mediation services to Far North Queensland.
Our Legal Practice Director, Joshua Auld, is a Nationally Accredited Mediator with the Queensland Law Society. Joshua has represented numerous clients at mediations and is now available to act as a mediator at our Cairns offices, or around Far North Queensland.
Mediation is an effective and low-cost way of resolving disputes, without needing to take a matter all the way to the courts.
Our Cairns offices boast two large private boardrooms, and a central meeting room where parties can confer with the legal representative, and the mediator without having to incur additional costs of venue hire.
Joshua accepts briefs to mediate in the following areas:
- Building and Construction;
- Commercial, such as leasing disputes;
- General debt recovery and contractual disputes;
- Contested deceased estates;
- Corporate;
- Workplace and Industrial Relation;
- Family (property only).
How Can We Help You?
Cost-Effective and Time-Efficient
Mediation is generally faster and far less expensive than litigation. By avoiding lengthy court battles, you can focus your energy and resources on reaching an outcome that works for everyone involved.
Confidential and Respectful
Everything discussed in mediation remains private. Our process provides a safe and neutral environment where both parties can speak openly and work toward resolution without judgement.
Reduce Stress and Preserve Relationships
We focus on solutions that protect relationships wherever possible, whether between business partners, family members, or neighbours, helping you move forward amicably.
Frequently Asked Questions
The mediator facilitates a structured discussion between parties, helping identify issues, explore solutions, and reach a mutual agreement. The process is voluntary, confidential, and focused on resolution rather than blame.
While mediation is less formal than court, legal advice can still be valuable. We can guide you through the process, help you understand your rights, and review any agreement reached before it is finalised.
If mediation does not lead to a resolution, you can still pursue other legal options such as negotiation or litigation. However, most cases benefit greatly from the mediation process, even if it simply narrows the issues in dispute.
